iOS 13.7 is here.

Users have reported positively about the new update, especially the boost in performance and battery life.

The main feature of iOS 13.7, however, is the new Exposure Notification System.

This feature will alert people if they come into close proximity to those who caught the virus. The new feature is now built into the setting’s menu instead of being a separate app like in iOS 13.5.

The Exposure Notification System was built in collaboration with Google to combat the virus. The data comes from local health authorities and is completely anonymous, so no personal data is at risk of being exposed.

The Exposure Notification System must be turned on manually. To turn it on, Navigate to Settings > Exposure Notifications and toggle ‘ Turn on Exposure Notifications ‘.

Currently, the Exposure Notification only works in Maryland, Nevada, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. in America. Apple is expected to roll out the new feature across the country in a few weeks.

Apple also stated that the new update includes:

“… new Memoji stickers and iCloud Drive folder sharing from the Files app. This update also contains bug fixes and improvements.”

Also note that the new update will break your jailbreak on your phone.

To update to the new iOS, head over to Settings > General, then tap Software Update. Tap Download and Install. You can update now or tap Later and choose Install Tonight or Remind me Later.
