Apple Will Unveil a New ‘iPad Air’, ‘Apple Watches’, ‘iPhone’, and ‘AirPods Studio Headphone’ this Fall
Bloomberg has reported that Apple is working with suppliers to manufacture new lines of products for this fall.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is currently preparing:
“…a new iPad Air with an edge-to-edge iPad Pro-like screen, two new Apple Watch versions and its first over-ear headphones outside the Beats brand. A smaller HomePod speaker is in the works, too.”
Also in the pipeline is the newest addition to the iPhone lineup: the iPhone 12 models.
There will be four new phones, with two basic and two high-end models for the first time. All will have OLED displays.
The two regular phones will come in a new 5.4-inch and a 6.1-inch size, while the Pro devices will offer a 6.1-inch or a 6.7-inch display, which will be the largest Apple has ever made.
All of the new iPhones will have a squared edge design similar to the iPad Pro. It was reported that the Pro version will use a stainless steel material instead of aluminum.
Apple is also planning on releasing a darker blue option for this year’s iPhone.
The Pro models will have Apple’s latest LiDAR camera, which helps apps that support AR to have a greater understanding of the surrounding environment.
Apple is also making their first over-ear headphones that is rumored to be called “AirPods Studio.” The AirPods Studio is expected to have Active Noise Cancellation, Head/Neck detection to stop the sound when the headphones are out of the ear, and an orientation detection that can detect if the headphones are placed in the right way.
Apple will also release an iPad Air with similar squared edge design as the iPad Pro. The iPad Air is rumored to have the Touch-ID feature rather than Face ID.
Apple will release a new, low-end Apple Watch to compete for the low-end smartwatch market that’s dominated by other cheap smartwatch makers.
Another product in the pipeline is a new, affordable HomePod. The new HomePod will have less stereos than the previous HomePod.
