Colored iMac is officially a thing now, and its release date is just around the corner.

Here’s everything you need to know about Apple’s newest iMac.

First, the design

At first glance, the new iMac is a thing to behold.

The new iMac will feature a 24-inch display with True Tone display, meaning the screen light will adapt to your surroundings. In addition, it will be available in seven different colors, including green, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, and silver. Unlike the previous iMacs, this one will have a slimmer body with smaller bezels around the screen. It will still have a chin but without the Apple logo (the logo will be on the back)

With all the additions (and subtractions) of parts, here are the new measurements for the 24-inch iMac:

The colors on the new computers have contrasting colors on both sides, with the back having the bolder variant of the color and the front the lighter variant.

Inside the iMac: Processors and Specs

Apple’s introduction of the M1 chip last had everyone excited about the prospect of Apple’s future products. Like the MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the Mac mini, the new iMac will also include the latest M1 chip inside its hardware.

The M1 Chip combines the ram, processor, GPU, and controller hub all into one. This also explains how Apple was able to get the computer to become so thin considering the amount of space they were able to free up.

The 24-inch iMac is available in either a 7-core GPU or an 8-core GPU. You can also get it with either 8GB of unified memory or upgrade to 16GB. The computer will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.

All iMac models will include two Thunderbolt ports and a headphone. The more expensive model will include an addition of two USB-C ports and a power brick with an ethernet port.

Accessories: What’s inside the box?

The new 24″ iMac will include a new Magic Keyboard, with Touch ID features included only for the expensive models. This will be Apple’s first time to include the Touch ID feature on a wireless keyboard. Similar to the Touch ID on the iPhone and MacBook, the Touch ID will allow you to verify your ID for purchases online as well as authenticate for Apple Pay and App Store purchases. In addition, it will allow you to unlock your Mac.

The keyboards will come with the corresponding color of the iMac of your purchase, as well as the Magic Mouse and Trackpad.

The keyboard is also color-matched to the color of the iMac itself, as are the Magic Mouse and the Magic Trackpad.

The new computer will also include a magnetic power plug, a first for the iMac lineup. The cables will also match the color of the computer as well.

Price: So how much is it?

Apple will release two iMacs with different prices.

You can start pre-ordering the 24″ iMac on April 30th. It will be available for purchase around the second half of May.
